About Us

Regular troop meetings are held on the first, third and fourth Mondays of each month at the University Covenant Church, located at 315 Mace Blvd. Troop meetings begin at 7 pm. and end at 8:30 pm. During the second week of each month, each patrol leader will schedule a separate Patrol Meeting at a location to be determined. Also, on Thursday of week 2, the Scoutmaster will attend a Boy Scout District Round Table meeting.

Patrol Leaders' Council (PLC) meetings are for the elected scout leaders to meet and work on planning, fine-tune the plans for the coming month, review the success of a troop activity, and to go over responsibilities for future meetings and events. SPL, ASPL, PL of each patrol, Troop guides and Troop scribe (who records the minutes of the meeting) are the scouts who make up the PLC.

Parent Meetings are scheduled to discuss the future of Troop 66 and offer parental input on the various activities the troop is planning. We encourage active participation from the parents to make our troop all that it can be.

Some of the events, like the Klondike and the Camporee, are dates set by the Chair Person of that event and we receive the exact date and location much closer to the time of the event. Check our upcoming events list for event dates.

We have a GREAT Scoutmaster and many Assistant Scoutmasters and adult leaders that are more than happy to help you. They make it easier to complete your requirements for advancement and merit badges.
